The Tzora Vineyards winery is located in the Judean Hills in Israel. It was founded in 1993 by the celebrated winemaker Ronnie James. His son Dor James has worked at Tzora Vineyards since its foundation and has been the vineyard manager since 2005. Eran Pick has been part of the Tzora Vineyards team since 2006 and is now the winery’s managing director. Since 2016, he has been the first Israeli Master of Wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay are currently grown on 20 hectares of vineyards on terra rossa soils on limestone. As an Israeli pioneer of the terroir concept, James was honoured with the “Eshkol Hazahav” (Golden Covenant) award for his remarkable contribution to Israel’s wine culture.
“We strive to keep our operational impact on the environment as low as possible and also firmly believe that keeping nature in balance and working sustainably is the right way forward. We have found that FAIR’N GREEN corresponds to our philosophy and our goals. They have helped us measure our environmental impact against other wineries around the world and continue to support us in our goal to become a fully sustainable winery.”

Terroir, the “sense of place”, is only expressed in fine wines. The wine with all its characteristics, such as color, aroma and taste are influenced by the soil and the climate of the vineyard. That is why Tzora Vineyards believes that great quality and diversity in the vineyards is reflected in every bottle of wine. A wide range of aromas and complexity can be achieved through careful ageing and is ultimately expressed in the wines of Tzora Vineyards.
