The Winter winery is located in Dittelsheim in Rheinhessen and stands for authentic wines that both reflect their origins and are man-made. This means that all vineyards are cultivated sustainably and in harmony with nature using artisanal diligence. From pruning the vines to shipping a wine parcel, the [Wein]family – as the Winter winery and all its employees call themselves – are united by a passion for the personal, a purist aesthetic and an uncompromising pursuit of quality.
With just 23 hectares of vineyards, Riesling is in first place with 65%, followed by Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The wines are selectively harvested by hand and vinified according to their individual rhythm – after all, time is the most precious commodity.
“The holistic concept with its detailed ecological, social and economic standards reflects our vision of sustainable viticulture and encourages us to continue resolutely on our path.”

Giving the wines the time they need is the basis of the work at the Winter winery. The grapes are harvested 100% by hand in order to guarantee the particularly high quality of the processed grapes. Natural plant protection, sustainable cultivation, low yields, spontaneous fermentation, late bottling and a long maturation period in the bottle also make the wines something very special.
