The Rütihof winery is located in Uerikon (municipality of Stäfa, Switzerland) on the right bank of Lake Zurich and has been run by the Hasler family for 5 generations since 1885. Monica Hasler Bürgi and Matthias Bürgi have been running Rütihof since 2004. On 5 hectares of vineyards, 8 grape varieties are cultivated, including Pinot Noir, Riesling-Sylvaner, Zweigelt, Räuschling, Merlot, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Dorsa and Gamaret. The soils are found on conglomerate (Nagelfluh) and sandstone.
“Even before we took over the management of the Rütihof winery in 2004, the topics of sustainability, ecology and environmental protection had already shaped our private and professional lives. This commitment is reflected in all aspects of our winery. At FAIR’N GREEN, we find professional support and exchange with other winegrowers in order to constantly develop ourselves further.”

The vineyard is seen as a diverse ecosystem that needs to be carefully managed. Soil fertility and beneficial organisms are encouraged and chemical additives are used sparingly. Dealing with the natural conditions is the basis for terroir-typical wines. In the cellar, the winery aims to bring out the full potential of the harvested grapes. From pressing to bottling, the development of each individual wine is carefully monitored. The aim is to produce full-bodied wines that are characterized by varietal typicity and character and, as a natural product, reflect the terroir and an individual signature in viticulture and vinification.
