Winery Mussler
The Mußler family’s winegrowing tradition began in 1831. After Tobias Mußler took over the Mussler winery in 1999, he expanded the size of the business to 55 hectares. The careful and considered selection of grape varieties for the new plantings allows the Mussler winery to produce top-quality wines today. The range is divided into basic wines in liter bottles, regional wines, local wines, and single-vineyard wines. After Tobias Mußler’s death in 2016 at the age of only 40, his wife Sabine Mußler took over the business and, with the help of her young and motivated team, is making the most of the best vineyards, such as Laumersheimer Kirschgarten and Steinbuckel, Bissersheimer Goldberg, and Kirchheimer Steinacker. Since 2024, a family crest, sophisticated down to the last detail, has adorned the labels.
“We decided to go for FAIR’N GREEN certification because working sustainably has always been important to us. The certification process let us see where we stand on sustainability, spot areas for improvement, and make things better. Making a contribution to sustainability in the areas of viticulture, cellar management, society, and the value chain has always been one of our greatest goals, and we are delighted that, together with FAIR’N GREEN, we have the opportunity to focus even more on this.”

By avoiding chemically produced mineral fertilizers, herbicides, and artificial irrigation, the natural greening of the soil creates the competitive environment we desire for the vines. This allows them to produce aromatic fruits, which we harvest at the right time through multiple, exclusively selective hand-picking.Philosophy
With care and passion, the Mussler Winery tends to its precisely demarcated vineyards, which produce single-vineyard wines. Here, inspired by the quality and wine styles of Burgundy and Bordeaux, the best wines thrive and mature, developing an expressive terroir character.
Intensive manual labor, mechanical soil cultivation, and low yields from selective hand harvesting enable the Mussler Winery to harvest excellent grapes and thus further enhance the quality of its wines.
Every bottle bearing the Mussler Winery coat of arms and name contains not only wine, but also the history of the vineyards, the vines, tradition, and craftsmanship—all imbued with care, love, and passion.
