Sandra and Ludwig Kreuzberg continue to run the winery founded by Hermann Josef Kreuzberg in 1953. From an initial 3.5 hectares, it has grown to 10.5 hectares of vineyards and has been a member of the “VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter” since 2000. With a clear focus on quality through reducing harvests to less than 35 hl/ha in some cases, the winery produces characterful red wines that reflect the terroir.
„We have been addressing the issue of sustainability for a long time. In our opinion, FAIR’N GREEN certification is the most valuable sustainability certification on the market. “

The steep slopes of the vineyard, characterized by Devonian and blue slate, include 10 VDP-classified “Große Lagen”. Fermented in open mash fermentation tanks, the wines are aged in used and new French oak barrels to develop their full potential.
