Winery Schumann
The family has been growing grapes in Lieser on the Moselle since the 16th century. Today, Ulrich Schumann runs the business with 4.0 hectares of vineyards, 70% of which are located on steep slopes characterized by slate. The main grape variety is Riesling (75%), followed by Pinot Blanc, Rosé Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Noir.
The winery is in a fantastic location and has been offering cozy apartments furnished with great attention to detail since 2022.

Philosophy: Quality grows in the vineyard.
By avoiding chemically produced mineral fertilizers, herbicides, and artificial irrigation, the natural greening of the soil creates the competitive environment we desire for the vines. This allows them to produce aromatic fruits, which we harvest at the right time through multiple, exclusively selective hand-picking.
