Winery Horst Sauer
The Horst Sauer winery from Franconia grows mainly white wine varieties on a total of 21 hectares of vineyards: The Silvaner grape variety makes up the largest share, closely followed by Müller-Thurgau. But the Riesling, Bacchus, Scheurebe and Pinot Blanc grape varieties also play a role here. The small proportion of red wine, around 8%, is dominated by Pinot Noir.
To find out where its wines stand, the Horst Sauer winery regularly and above all successfully takes part in numerous wine competitions. Renowned wine guides such as Feinschmecker, Falstaff and Gault Millau also rate the wines very highly across the board. In 2018, the Horst Sauer winery received the Winemaker of the Year award from the renowned wine guide Gault Millau.

Wines for personal wishes, individual occasions and those special moments that don’t happen every day. We endeavour to create such wines and make the diversity of nature shine. Choosing the perfect wine for the right moment has to do with feeling and also a little bit of experience.
All wines from the Horst Sauer winery are lovingly and painstakingly handcrafted. The class of the wines is based on the fact that everyone at the winery gives their best and makes sure that things stay in balance. That magical balance that is necessary in top winegrowing in order to come as close as possible to perfection every year.
