Winery Heußler und Töchter
The Heußler and Daughters winery is located in Rhodt an der Weinstraße in southern Palatinate and is a classic family business that has been producing wine for generations. With Nina and Maike Heußler, the younger generation is increasingly taking over the helm of the business, but parents Jürgen and Regina are also still firmly involved in the day-to-day running of the winery.
Together, the family cultivates over eight hectares of vineyards on the edge of the Palatinate Forest, which include an exciting variety of soils, such as red sandstone, limestone marl, loess-loam or Rotliegend. It is mainly the traditional grape varieties of the region that grow here, with many Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir vines proudly boasting an age of almost 50 years.
The Heußler family’s aim is to always bring the best possible quality to the bottle – whether wine, sparkling wine or brandy. To achieve this, they rely on 100% manual work and family teamwork. As Regina Heußler says: “Everyone does everything here – and with love”.
The commitment is paying off: the company has long been an insider tip among wine drinkers and the name Heußler will also be familiar to lovers of fine spirits: In the field of fine brandy production, the company recently received a state honorary award and was also named “Worlds Best Craft Distillery 2021” at the Craft Spirits Berlin Awards.

Philosophy
The Heußler and Daughters winery is committed not only to producing enjoyable wines, brandies and gin, but also to working sustainably in all areas of production. This is why environmental protection, the promotion of biodiversity and natural viticulture are the focus of their daily work. Conserving natural resources, using renewable energy and avoiding the use of plastic whenever possible are therefore a matter of course. For example, natural corks are used as closures without additional plastic capsules and the wines are shipped in a climate-neutral way.
