Winery J.J. Adeneuer
The J.J. Adeneuer winery from Ahrweiler stands for purist Pinot Noir with plenty of freshness and a well-integrated acidity structure, which makes the wines long-lasting and storable for several years.
The vineyards range from the picturesque terraced vineyards near Walporzheim, characterised by weathered slate, to the vineyards lined with viaducts above the old town of Ahrweiler, to the sun-drenched steep slopes in Heimersheim.
‘Integrating sustainable aspects into our workflows and processes has always been very important to our winery. Whether as an employer in our dealings with and responsibility towards our employees or as winegrowers in harmony with nature and our environment… We have been taking a wide variety of measures for many years, working as close to nature as possible, so it was ultimately a logical consequence for us to have our winery certified.’

Philosophy
CLOSE TO NATURE
The sustainable and ecological cultivation of our vineyards is very important to us. A great deal of manual work, time and meticulousness is required to produce wines with a strong character.
FACETTED
The terroir and the microclimate in which our vines have been growing for decades is incredibly diverse.
The soil on which our vines stand ranges from weathered slate to sandy loam loess soils, greywacke and volcanic rock.
STRONG CHARACTER
The vitality of our vines, the biomass balance and nutrient content of the soil are essential for the production of wines with uncompromising character. Close-to-nature viticulture and the responsible use of natural resources require attention to detail, a great deal of sensitivity and often a great deal of patience from our field team.
Uncompromisingly purist from the estate wines to the very top. The character of our wines can be tasted through clarity and precision. All of our red Burgundy wines mature in French oak barrels.
The Adeneuer wine style is characterized by the subtle use of new wood.
The focus is always on the character of the wine, its typicity and aroma.
