Winery Gut Hermannsberg from Niederhausen was founded in 1902 as a royal Prussian domain and has been considered one of the top wine estates on the Nahe ever since. The estate was privatized at the end of the 1990s and has been run by the Reidel family since 2009.
A total of around 30 hectares of vineyards are cultivated on the Gut Hermannsberg estate, including the Hermannsberg monopollage, the Traiser Bastei and the world-famous Kupfergrube.
“We opted for FAIR’N GREEN certification because we were convinced by the big picture. Sustainability is very important to us as winegrowers. FAIR’N GREEN gives this responsibility a well thought-out and applicable structure.”
Jasper Reidel, Managing Director Gut Hermannsberg

“In harmony with nature, a lot of manual work in the vineyard and time to mature in the cellar.” The Rieslings from Winery Gut Hermannsberg stand for race, spice, minerality and the 7 terroirs, whose individuality you can taste.
Based on its long history, Winery Gut Hermannsberg discards all methods that could diminish the wines’ individual character.
This is why the wines are allowed to mature for a sufficiently long time, namely between six months and six years, until they have developed their full flavor.
