Winery Goswin Lambrich
The Goswin Lambrich winery is now in its third generation. Siblings Christiane Lambrich-Henrich and Matthias Lambrich cultivate a total of 16 hectares on the steep slopes of the romantic Middle Rhine Valley. Christiane, who studied viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim, is responsible for the vinification of the wines. Matthias, who also completed his studies in international wine business in Geisenheim, is responsible for the maintenance of the vineyards and the distribution of the wines. The slate weathered soils are mainly used to grow Riesling vines, which were already present in Oberwesel in medieval times. In addition to Riesling, the Lambrichs also grow Red Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, and Sauvignon Blanc.
“The steep slopes along the Middle Rhine present us with particular challenges—especially when it comes to protecting our soil and preventing erosion. With FAIR’N GREEN, we have opted for a sustainability system that helps us to work in a resource-efficient manner, preserve our cultural landscape, and develop our business in a sustainable way.”

By avoiding chemically produced mineral fertilizers, herbicides, and artificial irrigation, the natural greening of the soil creates the competitive environment we desire for the vines. This allows them to produce aromatic fruits, which we harvest at the right time through multiple, exclusively selective hand-picking.Philosophy
The winery’s philosophy is to cultivate grapes in harmony with nature. In order to produce high-quality, award-winning wines, careful and environmentally friendly soil management and vine cultivation are essential. The green cover, regular soil maintenance, and incorporation of humus allow healthy, vigorous vines to grow and ensure optimal nutrition. Christiane and Matthias’ greatest motivation is their love for their homeland. By cultivating the steep slopes, they are contributing to the preservation of the unique cultural landscape of the Middle Rhine Valley.
