The three sisters Anna, Rebecca and Leah learned about the fascination of wine not least through the family’s own well-maintained wine cellar. So it was not far-fetched to turn their passion for wine into a profession with their own winery. They brought with them a wide range of skills to successfully run a winery. They were able to gain the necessary experience in wine production itself in the form of oenologist Michael Acher. In this constellation, top wines are produced under the unique conditions of the Zellertal in the Palatinate.
As early as 2017, the Protugieser from the 2017 vintage was awarded first place in the German Red Wine Prize. Other awards quickly followed. They currently grow Burgundy and Riesling on around 8 hectares and also run a wine bar. Sustainability and, in particular, the responsible use of the soil in the cultivated vineyards are reflected in the company’s daily philosophy.
“The holistic view of a winery and not the pure limitation to the work in the vineyard and cellar corresponds to our idea of sustainability. This is what impressed us about FAIR’N GREEN.”
