Klein & Sohn Winery
The Klein & Sohn winery was founded in 1786 in the small wine village of Schloßböckelheim on the Nahe. Until the 1990s, Wolfgang, Véronique and Johann ran the business as a classic mixed farm, but today they focus 100% on wine. A great deal of attention is paid to excellent Rieslings, which have been joined by another genuine type in the wake of climate change and Wolfgang’s Francophilia: Cabernet Sauvignon.

Philosophy
A symbiosis of French elegance, traditional craftsmanship and innovative thinking. In doing so, the company always returns to its roots. Even deeper, to the diverse soils in which these roots grow. And soils are volatile, as anyone who has travelled the infamous Dust Belt or seen gullies in fertile farmland after a summer thunderstorm knows.
