The Heinrichshof winery is located in Zeltingen on the Middle Moselle.
The Heinrichshof winery is committed to the principle of integrated, sustainable viticulture, which involves the careful use of natural resources. The painstaking and careful work in the vineyard throughout the year allows the grapes to ripen healthily in the vineyards around the Middle Moselle municipality of Zeltingen. Each vineyard is harvested selectively – whereby the specific wine to be produced is determined in advance – often by hand and at the optimum ripening time. In the cellar, brothers Peter and Ulrich Griebeler, who took over their parents’ business in 2014, rely on traditional winemaking in wooden barrels. In order to individually accompany and preserve the different characters of the vineyards, which now cover more than eight hectares, the majority of the wines are allowed to undergo spontaneous fermentation during the production process – this also emphasises the skill of the makers in perfectly combining nature and craftsmanship.
“We have been growing grapes in Schloßböckelheim for 7 generations. For us, sustainability means treating people and the environment in such a way that we will still be able to do so in seven generations’ time.”

Klein & Sohn Winery
A symbiosis of French elegance, traditional craftsmanship and innovative thinking. In doing so, the company always returns to its roots. Even deeper, to the diverse soils in which these roots grow. And soils are volatile, as anyone who has travelled the infamous Dust Belt or seen gullies in fertile farmland after a summer thunderstorm knows. This is why the Klein & Sohn winery favours the careful use of resources, the promotion of biodiversity through a wide range of greenery in the vineyard and the targeted questioning of the status quo. So that the best can be teased out of every type of soil.
