Schwan Winery
The Schwan winery is located in Zellertal in the Palatinate wine-growing region. The winery has been run by the Himmel family for more than five generations. After Dirk Himmel completed a three-year apprenticeship as a winemaker and then went on to study viticulture engineering in Geisenheim, he took over his parents’ winery together with his wife Charlotte.
Various bottled wines, sparkling wines, sparkling wines (Seccos), brandies and grape juices are produced on a total of 22.5 hectares of vineyards.

Philosophy
From procurement to climate-neutral transportation and proper disposal, it effectively reduces emissions in accordance with FAIR’N GREEN standards and thus improves its environmental performance – also and above all – in the vineyard. The Schwan winery also implements measures to preserve biodiversity as well as soil and water protection and defines specific goals to continuously improve its ecological footprint.
