Ruppertsberger Weinkeller Hoheburg eG was the first Palatinate winegrowers’ cooperative to be successfully FAIR’N GREEN-certified in March 2022. The cooperative currently markets around 600 hectares of vineyards through direct sales, specialist and food retailers and exports, making it one of the leading winegrowing companies in the Palatinate. The vineyards cultivated by the 86 winegrowers are located in Ruppertsberg and the neighboring communities of Königsbach and Mußbach in the south, Meckenheim in the east and Deidesheim in the north. With over 45 percent of the area under cultivation, Riesling is the most important grape variety in the Ruppertsberg wine cellar.
At the Ruppertsberger Weinkeller, passion and lifeblood for viticulture can be experienced on a daily basis, which naturally benefits the entire cooperative. In the wine cellar, sound oenological knowledge meets the necessary sensitivity. The team works tirelessly, especially at harvest time, to preserve the quality from the vineyard and refine it with the right touches. Finally, the cooperative’s “team play” is rounded off by the employees in logistics, sales and administration. Here you will receive optimum service in all matters and always a smile – because one thing is always part of wine as a cultural asset: Joie de vivre and fun!
“Wine is a cultural asset that is deeply rooted in the Palatinate. We therefore also see it as our responsibility to improve sustainability in viticulture and thus secure the future of wine as a natural product. The practice-oriented work of FAIR’N GREEN takes a holistic view of the wineries. Attention is paid to every aspect of wine production.”
Gerhard Brauer, Managing Director

Wine is a cultural asset that is an integral part of the Palatinate. In hardly any other region are the environment, society and climate so closely linked to wine as here. The Ruppertsberger Weinkeller sees it as its corporate responsibility to improve the sustainability of wine as a natural product in all its facets and thus to preserve wine as a cultural asset for the future.
