Eugen Müller Winery
The Eugen Müller winery emerged in 1935 from the Wallbillich cooperage, whose beginnings date back to 1767. The senior manager of the winery, Kurt Müller, also learned this craft. Today, Christine and Stephan Müller are the third generation to run the winery. After studying viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim, Stephan took over responsibility at the winery in 2001. Riesling plays a major role in the Forster vineyards due to the variety of soil types such as red sandstone, limestone and basalt. Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc are also cultivated on a total vineyard area of 14 hectares.

“Responsibility for nature and sustainability in the vineyard and winery has been important to us for many years. Nevertheless, some things get lost in everyday life. With the tips and suggestions from Fair’n Green, we want to further improve our sustainability standards together with our team and take responsibility for people, the environment and nature. The FAIR’N GREEN certificate also shows our customers that they can enjoy our wines with a clear conscience.”

Philosophy
Fresh, clear and characteristic of the soil on which the vines are grown – these are the hallmarks of our wines. To achieve this, we have been working for many years according to the guidelines of controlled, environmentally friendly viticulture. Mechanical soil cultivation, ecological greening management, environmentally friendly plant protection and grape selection during the harvest are just as much a matter of course as slow, cooled fermentation and maturation in stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels.
The individual assessment of every single batch of harvested grapes, intensive tasting of all the wines maturing in the barrels and advice on further ageing are also an ideal basis for the creation of fruity wines with a lively freshness.
Good things take time, which means that we give our wines the time they need to mature optimally in the cellar. That also means chilling out with a glass of wine
