The Baigorri winery was designed based on maximum respect for the shape and richness of the grapes and is located in the village of Samaniego and at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. Bodegas BAIGORRI’s glass box blends in perfectly with its surroundings and stands proudly in an emblematic position in Rioja Alavesa.
Inside, the winery has the most advanced technology, the result of technological experimentation. The winery undergoes a continuous improvement process. Numerous research projects are therefore being carried out.
“For us, sustainability is the key to the future. The most responsible and respectful way to work with the land and the people is simply a must. Since day one, we have looked to the past, but also innovated in many ways to maintain balance and excellence with a long-term vision. This really is a holistic, sustainable vision.”
Elena Sánchez Tendero, Export and Project Manager

The grapes for the wines of the Baigorri winery are grown using sustainable cultivation methods in harmony with nature, using both traditional and modern methods. They come from old vines of unique quality that are deeply rooted in the land and culture.
They are picked by hand and processed in the gentlest possible way to transform the authentic flavour of nature itself into wine. The high quality of the wines ultimately comes from the vineyard itself and is nothing other than the true reflection of the soil, the climate and the tradition of Rioja Alavesa.
