In combination with FAIR’N GREEN, there is an opportunity to secure sustainable viticulture across generations.
The FAIR’N GREEN sustainability certification complements important aspects that many organic certifications do not explicitly cover, but which are essential for holistically sustainable viticulture. These include, for example, resource and climate protection, promoting biodiversity and improving working conditions. With this in mind, we are delighted that more and more organic wineries are implementing further measures and working with us to obtain certification in areas of sustainability.
Take the next step in sustainability and become part of the largest sustainability network in viticulture. For further information on the realisation of a combination of FAIR’N GREEN & organic, please contact our organic contact persons Diana Steitz, Jochen Schmitt, Clemens Busch and Philipp Wittmann.
‘For me as a long-time practising organic winegrower, it is important to integrate other aspects of sustainable viticulture into my way of working.’
Clemens Busch
‘The FAIR'N GREEN certification helps immensely in gaining a holistic view of what is happening in and around the winery in terms of sustainability.’
Philipp Wittmann
‘Only in a strong community can we implement sustainability holistically - that's why we are a member of FAIR'N GREEN. The comprehensive certification criteria allow us to assess our sustainability efforts. The comparison with similarly structured wineries promotes continuous improvement and ongoing thematic development.’
Diana Steitz
‘As a young family, however, we have realised more and more in recent years that a way of farming that is truly sustainable for nature in the long term should not be based solely on the overly rigid organic criteria of pure agricultural production and winegrowing. The ‘Fair and Green’ concept impresses us with its holistic approach, which also takes into account the social responsibility of our family business.’
