CARLO Awards for sustainability presented:

For 50 years now, Jacques’ Wein-Depot has been a bridge between wineries and consumers. The business idea of “tasting like a winemaker”, which was revolutionized in 1974 by founders Jacques Héon and Dr. Olaf Müller-Soppart, has made Jacques’ Wein-Depot one of the largest specialist wine retailers in Germany. Managing Director Kathy Féron explains why sustainability is so important to the company and why it is proud to be a FAIR’N GREEN Certified Partner:

The topic of sustainability is of great importance to Jacques’ Wein-Depot, as demonstrated by its long-standing cooperation with suppliers, for example. The endeavor to have its previous commitment externally audited also makes it clear that Jacques’ Wein-Depot is structuring its own sustainability management more strongly as a result of the successful FAIR’N GREEN certification and is addressing it throughout the company, at its headquarters in Düsseldorf and in the individual depots.
Jacques’ Wein-Depot is also continuously expanding its range of sustainably produced wines.

As part of its FAIR’N GREEN certification, Jacques’ Wein-Depot has defined numerous measures for implementation at its headquarters in Düsseldorf and in over 340 depots in order to make sustainability visible to customers externally.
